La Casa Family Health Center is currently seeking a full-time Accountant I to join our Accounting Department in Portales. This is an excellent entry-level professional opportunity for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their accounting career in a mission-driven healthcare environment.
The Accountant I supports the organization’s financial operations by assisting with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and possesses excellent time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel—including formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, and financial analysis is required.
Qualifications include:
*Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration
*Previous accounting experience required
